Personal highlights for Niykee include being hand-picked to join Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013, and writing songs in spite of the chaos of the past few years. As a producer magnet, Niykee has a constant eye on beats delivered to her. The majority beats spark fresh songs. After just five seconds that I can determine if a particular beat is worth it. From there I can get an idea of a whole song within my head, and then I start writing. If I am sitting on my back porch playing guitar, my lyrics simply flow and are usually completed in less than thirty minutes. Niykee states that, as she grows as a lyricist, the painful memories of her youth serve as inspiratoin. She says that even when she's not writing about things that are actually happening every ache due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister makes its way into the music. The memories influence my songs and helps to create this greater significance behind everything that is among the most significant things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I can listen to any one of my music 20 years down the road and be happy with what I wrote.
