Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She has released over 20 albums. Her music is classified as folk rock and alternative rock but includes influence from hip music and jazz. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist legend and Grammy award-winning. Being one of the women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco created her own label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had been in contact while at an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It was postponed however, some (including the media) did not see it as a sign of regret. DiFranco offered an apology just a few weeks following. Her name is associated with her Little Folksinger style, but she's collaborated with many artists and genres including Pete Seeger to Chuck D. Her home is New Orleans.
