Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 in 1967. Roberts is fourth in the Roberts generation living in Atlanta starting with her farmer great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts. Her father was a theatre enthusiast since a young time. As studying at Emory University, he performed in a variety of productions in Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he received his induction into the air force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. They married in 1955. Their first son, Eric Anthony, was born in the year 1956. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans, Louisiana in 1957 after they had separated from the Air Force of the United States. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted about six years. During this time they also had two kids Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
