Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at a single Games as well as the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles lived at Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after she and her younger sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics at age six in a day-care field excursion in Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for eleven years under the direction of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor and bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite level of competition in 2011. Within two years, she dominated this event. Biles was distinguished by her consistently high performance and exuberant personality as well as the difficulty of her routines at all four events such as vaulting, uneven bars, and the balance beam.
